ASASI in collaboration with the Kuala Penyu Youth conducted a beach clean up at the Sawangan beach in Kuala Penyu. The activity was coordinated by local leader Lissa Johanes with the support of the youth network that participated in ASASI's previous programs.

The program was initiated to foster greater care to the environment and social responsibility of local youth especially indigenous community to protect the environment as ancestral heritage. We also conducted social media messaging and art workshop to generate social media outreach on the issues and aspiration of the youth. The message was indeed " Lets Act Now, Not to Wait For Others To Care For Our Beach"
