In 2024 ASASI received the Gamuda Empowerment Award from Gamuda Foundation Malaysia.
ASASI was among the six recipients of the Gamuda Empowerment Award who were awarded a grant each, collectively representing hope and positive transformation across Malaysia.
The Gamuda award's mission is to recognise and empower extraordinary Malaysians creating lasting change for people and nature and to further their impactful projects in wildlife conservation, education, community empowerment, and human rights.
ASASI dedicates the recognition to all the people and friends who supported the organisation and its work in Sabah with a special thanks to the secretariat that worked tirelessly for the organisation.
