In July 2025, ASASI conducted a series of community engagement and workshop to develop community protocol for the indigenous people village in Kpg Terian, Penampang. The project was part of ASASI's justice initiative to strengthen customary legal mechanism and self determination. The protocol is an important step forward to seek land tenure and collaboration with various government agencies to ensure sustainable practice and social inclusion of culture and practices at village level
